At our headquarter in Leonding and Hagenberg near Linz we are looking for a GUI and interaction designer for our next-generation retail applications using different interactive systems and display technologies.
Tasks
- Create intuitive interaction concepts and graphical user interface designs for our existing and new retail solutions with a focus on information design and usability.
- Evaluate user interface designs and interaction concepts for different applications including touch-based solutions on mobile devices or tabletops.
- Collaborate in the definition of cross-application user interface design standards and style guides for NTS solutions, to optimize ease-of-use and achieve an integrated and consistent look and feel.
- Work closely with multiple departments such as marketing, product managers, research and development teams and other internal stakeholders to build storyboards, proof-of-concept mockups, internal and external presentations and prototypes for new NTS applications and features.
Requirements
- High affinity for design, graphics, interactive media, usability and user experience.
- Several years of experience in GUI and interaction design. Please attach examples of your work to your application documents.
- A heart for interactive user interfaces on different platforms such as web, mobile devices, tabletops or projections.
- Conceptual and creative thinking
- Flexible and precise way of working
- Capacity for teamwork
- Ability to act on one’s own initiative and responsibility
- Beneficial: knowledge in usability testing and user experience evaluation; handling of the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash,…) and prototyping tools (e.g. Axure RP).

Salary: According to the Austrian collective agreement for IT personnel (gross annual salary: 29.610 Euro). Depending on your education and experience as well as distinctive characteristics, a higher salary is possible. In addition, we offer project bonuses and a wide range of voluntary social benefits.
